History ZP-CFS, made in Japan in ~2003, finished in Vintage White and fitted with flatwound strings. History is the house brand of major Japanese retailer Shimamura, with instruments built at the renowned Fujigen Gakki factory, the same plant responsible for Fender Japan models from 1982–96 and ongoing Ibanez Prestige production.
This is a well-executed P-style bass with a slim-for-a-Precision neck profile, though still slightly wider at the nut than a Jazz Bass. It features Fujigen’s Circle Fretting System, where the frets are subtly curved to improve intonation and sustain.
Tonally it delivers strong low-end weight, punchy mids, and clear, articulate highs, making it an easy fit in a band mix. A seriously well-made Japanese bass from a respected factory.
Includes Fender bag. Set up with extra light flatwounds and a low action.
